The aim of this work package is to realise the mass scale by developing improved calibration methods and by providing techniques to optimise the measurement designs. A draft EURAMET calibration guideline on the dissemination of the mass unit will be developed and submitted for further approval by EURAMET.
While the method of directly comparing two weights is based on OIML R111, the calibration of the set of weights using the subdivision / multiplication method is currently not well described. Due to the variety of mass comparators, or compositions of weight sets, there is no standard approach for this kind of calibration.
